The Cruz Law Firm is a federally designated debt relief agency pursuant to Title 11 of the US Code, to help people file bankruptcy. They also participate in the Chapter 13 Trustee's Plan, which means our fees for Chapter 13 are controlled by the court. Because our fees are paid from the Chapter 13 Trustee, not up front from our clients, we can offer no down payment on Chapter 13 cases.

Kathy Cruz
graduated cum laude from Bradley University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Spanish, graduated from Northwestern School of Law in 1981, and then Indiana University in 1984 with a Masters of Art degree in Forensic Science. She was admitted to the Arkansas Bar in 1987 and formed The Cruz Law Firm in 1997.
Kathy has experience as a former deputy public defender for Garland County and a former deputy prosecuting attorney for Garland County. She is currently the only board certified attorney in consumer bankruptcy law in Arkansas, as certified by the American Board of Certification and is currently one of less than 500 attorneys in the US certified in consumer bankruptcy law. As a member of the Garland County Bar association, the Arkansas Bar Association, The Central Arkansas Debtor Creditor Bar, The National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, The American Bankruptcy Institute, The National Association of Consumer Advocates, The National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees, The National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, The American Bar Association, and the Arkansas Women Lawyers Association, Kathy is ready to take on your case.
